Marta López Rauhut

I am a PhD student at the IMAGINE computer vision lab and at the Laboratoire Interdisciplinaire des Sciences du Numérique (LISN), currently working under the supervision of Loïc Landrieu, Mathieu Aubry, and Anne-Laure Ligozat.

My research revolves around the interaction between AI and the environment: while AI has great potential for tackling environmental issues, its increasing impacts are a cause for concern. I personally believe that there are ways of using AI for good, all the while keeping its effects on the environment under control. This is precisely what I strive to do in my research.

More in general, I am passionate about “classical” computer science and the inner workings of computers: from the basics of integrated circuits up to algorithm design, passing through the inner workings of operating systems and compilers.

Even more in general, I enjoy preparing Dungeons & Dragons sessions, reading a good book, doing crochet and other handcrafts, and unlocking new skills (such as doing pull-ups!).
